Preparing for our new strategy. We’re almost there! After three years of consultation and testing, we’re now just a few days away from introducing our new strategic plan and brand on the morning of 15 May. Here's what's going to happen, and how you can get involved:

Take a look at this blog from UK Chief Commissioner Tim Kidd, explaining the three key things you can do on 15 May to help understand the strategic plan, find out what to do in your role and spread the word about the changes.

Visit scouts.org.uk/brandwebinar at 7pm on 15 May to find out more about the new brand. You’ll be able to ask questions and take a look at the support and resources on offer.

Find out about the new homepage for the website, which will be launching on Tuesday 15 May, and will help us celebrate our new strategic plan, brand, and reflect where we are now.

Keep your eyes peeled for your new, monthly membership email, landing in your inbox in early June. Make sure you update your communications preferences in Compass to ensure you get the right information for your role. This is the final edition of Scouting+.

Supporting members with new GDPR e-learning. We're sharing details of the new GDPR ongoing learning module with all members below. Members can start on their e-learning now, and we'll let you know when the module is available on Compass to add to someone's Personal Learning Plan.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force from 25 May 2018. If we're not all aligned with GDPR we risk serious penalties and damage to Scouting's reputation. Here's what we've done to help:

You can find more info on GDPR here. If you need any additional information, please visit the ICO website.

Scout experience survey. On Tuesday 21 May we'll be sharing our annual Scout Experience Survey. We're giving you a heads up because the survey will take 15-30 minutes to complete, and we're going to need your help to ensure we get as much feedback as possible, especially from young people who might be doing exams. There'll be a prize draw for the District that secures the most responses, as well as a draw for each individual who takes part. Later this month, we'll provide you with templates to use for volunteers, parents and young people. We'd like to thank you in advance for your support.

This week we celebrated 13 years of continuous growth. We shared new research which shows the incredible benefits of volunteering. As we look forward to the roll-out of our new strategy on Tuesday, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for giving your time to make an incredible, life-changing difference to the lives of young people across the UK. Find out more from Census 2018.
